Call in Cupcake Order

Cakers, I know many of you are still adjusting to the fact that we do not have premade cakes hanging around the shop. We really pride ourselves in the fact that every cake that leaves us was made with a certain person in mind. While this is awesome, we also know there are those last minute things that you wish you had a special sweet for. Well, here's a few of the orders we did for Cakers and Cupcakers with just that issue. Give us a call in the morning, and we can make an order like this to fit with you special occasion. Cupcakes are the new hip thing, you know. It could just make you a hero. Just sayin'.

Baby Boy Themed Private Event hosted at CH&L

We're beginning to get quite a few of these events  - and we love it! We get to theme everything out and that makes us squeal here at CH&L. This shower seemed MADE for us. I mean, it was the colors from our shop for crying out loud!! Thanks for hosting such a wonderful event at our shop and for letting us make such a fun dessert table!

BMX themed cupcake order

Cakers, I think this one turned out pretty awesome. These are cupcakes for a BMX themed birthday. I love how the fondant toppers turned out on this. The remaining cupcakes were rolled in red and gold alternating sanding sugar. The overall look was pretty, well, RAD!

Rocker Girl Cake

So, this one was great. I got to use Disco Dust. Which is like - serious glitter for cakes. I was in glitter heaven. So, thanks for the amazing order, Louella!

Scooby Doo Cake

Here's another recent cake order from the shop. Scooby! I had a great time make the Mystery Machine. Although, I have to admit, I kept calling it the shagin' wagon. I don't know. Maybe it was the era. I digress. Without anymore rambling - here's the Scooby Cake!

Angry Bird Cake

Cakers, while I definitely have my girly side, I do love things without glitter too. This cake is one of those things. So, I should have started this post with - Hello. My name is Shannon. I have an addiction to Angry Birds. This si the part where you all admit you have it too. You know that you all play whenever you can. 5 minutes extra on your wait at the doctor's office is now a chance to beat that level rather than an annoyance. OH! We're talking cake - that's right. So, here's the Angry Birds cake you came here to see. Enjoy!

Icing Smiles Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake

CH&L is all about giving back. We especially have a soft spot for initiatives that involve children and families. Well, this organization is STELLAR. Icing Smiles, Inc   is a group of huge hearted bakers and volunteers that help sweeten the day for seriously ill children and their families. Families get to have a dream cake for their child or their siblings. Something to make the days extra special - just like them. We were honored to have our third call to action with this group. This cake was for one of the cutest little guys ever, Brycen.

Hand Painted Wedding Cake

This cake order was AMAZING to work on. We really used skills from the entire CH&L team to pull it off. I think this may be one of my absolute favorite cakes. I think the final table display also came out top notch! Thanks for the amazing order, Wendy! We loved every second of it!

Elegant Calla Lily Wedding Cake

This cake was all about class and simple elegance. I really like having the chance to play around with the impression mats to give the cake textures too. I love when wedding cakes are so simple, yet so gorgeous! Thanks for the beautiful order!

Girly Cake

This cake - WOW - the amount of glitter on it alone weighed as much as the buttercream. The picture does not do it justice. We had lots of fun cutting out all the little shapes and adding all the embellishments to them. And, you know how I like my zebra print. Tie that together with a black glitter ribbon, and I was in cake bliss. Thanks for another rocking order, Cake Nation!

Tangled Cake

Cakers, you know how I like my girly cakes. This one was SO much fun to make. The castle took a bit of working on. We tried stacking cake and then cupcakes without much success. We ended up using a paper cup! Tricks of the trade, I tell ya. So, without further ado - here's the Tangled Cake!

Private Events and Dessert Tables

Hello Cake Nation! We've had lots of you ask about reserving CH&L for your private event. Well, after doing 3 parties here already and more on the books, we're VERY excited to have you all here! Here are the prices for all 3 types of parties we host. The EVENT Parties are priced for 8 guests. Additional guests are an additional charge. Our room here will hold up to 20 guests. Each of these Event Parties comes with the decorations, napkins, plates, and anything else you need. All you have to do is show up and ENJOY!

Remember, we can set up dessert tables at YOUR venue if our space isn't enough for your party.


Child's Party Event:
Standard: 2 Hour Room Rental, 24 decorated cupcakes, fresh fruit, cookie, chocolate dipped pretzels, and a drink - $260 (priced for 8 guests - additional guests are an additional charge)


Deluxe: 2 Hour Room Rental, 8" Decorated Cake, 12 Cupcakes, Fresh Fruit, Decorated Cookies, Dipped Pretzels, 1 Premium Item (such as caramel Corn or Cotton Candy), and a drink - $315


Premium: 2 Hour Room Rental, 2 Tiered Cake (8" & 6"), 12 Cupcakes, 12 Push Pops, Goodie Bags per child, Fruit, Decorated Cookies, Chocolate Dipped Pretzels, 1 Premium Item, and a drink - $401


Celebration Event:
Standard: 2 Hour Room Rental, 24 Cupcakes (tower), Fresh Fruit, Shortbread Cookie, and a drink - $306


Deluxe: 2 Hour Room Rental, 8" Cake, 12 Cupcakes, Fresh Fruit, Biscotti, Shortbread Cookie, and a drink - $355


Premium: 2 Hour Room Rental, 2 Tiered Cake (8" & 6"), 12 Cupcakes, Fresh Fruit, Biscotti, Shortbread Cookie, Dipped Madeleines, 1 Granola, Simple Favors, and a Drink - $405


Cupcake Party Packages:
Max of 15 kids and a minimum of 5. $5 for 2 cupcakes and $10 for 4. $75 Room Rental for 1.5 hours. Includes tables, cupcake decorations, plates, and take home containers.

Vintage Wedding Cake

Cake Nation - I am in LOVE with this wedding cake. It is simple and elegant. The bride has GREAT taste, don't you think? Congrats Amanda!

Deep Purple Zebra Print Cake

Cake Nation - this weekend was twice as sweet. Oh yes, it was. I had the lovely chance to make TWO zebra print cakes. This one is a deep eggplant color with a shimmer to it. LOVED IT! Happy Birthday Hannah and farewell to the Hester Family!

Steam Punk Bridal Shower Cake

Cake Nation! How's Summer going for you? Hopefully pretty dang awesome. It's been HOPPING at the shop. You know, the one in Beavercreek we opened about a month ago. I know you all have been ... right? That's what I thought. Well, here's one of the cakes we sent out this weekend. It was a Cars themed cake for 3 folks! What a way to make it a triple sweet weekend!

Father's Day Packs!

Cake Nation! We are now offering Father's Day Packs! This pack is the Chocolate Stout Cupcake with Salted Caramel Buttercream, Breakfast in a Cuppie, Jalapeno Hal, and The Buckeye! That's right - that's peanutbutter, Guinness, Jalapenos, and Bacon. Pure awesomeness. We will not be carrying the packs in the shop, so all of the Father's Day Packs are special order. 1st week at the Cake Shop

Cake Nation! How I've missed posting for you! We've been B.U.S.Y. at the shop. You guys have purchased literally thousands of cupcakes from us in just two weeks. And cakes, boy oh boy, are you all ordering cakes. So, I thought I would post a few of the orders, cupcakes and cakes, that went out our first full week at the shop.

Wedding Display

Wedding season is upon us! This makes my heart go pitter patter. This means I get to make sugar flowers. I love sugar flowers ... and ribbon ... and luster dust. Here is a beautiful set up for an equally gorgeous bride, Danielle. Thanks for letting us be a part of your wedding! Happy Honeymoon!
