St.Patrick's Day Packs are here for your cupcake delight!

Top of the day to you, Cake Nation! You all know how much we love making cupcakes ... well, we love special occasion cupcakes even more. CH&L St.Patrick's Day Packs are now available. We have two variations of this pack (You choose one):

Pack 1: You'll get 6 delightfully green Vanilla Cupcakes topped with rich Irish Cream buttercream. You will also get 3 Chocolate Stout (Guiness) Cupcakes topped with Salted Caramel Buttercream. Seriously - these are AWESOME.

I love the way they looked when they were completely finished and set up. Thanks for letting us at CH&L live vicariously through you!

Holy Stacks of Scrumptious Cupcakes, Batman!

Cake Nation! I've missed posting on here for you. We've been up to our eyeballs in cupcakes. Seriously, you all are amazing. Our Valentines Packs went over smashingly. So, now, we're working on St.Patty's Packs. I know! Squee! I know one of the flavors will be a Chocolate Stout Cake with a Salted Caramel Buttercream. It's ok to seat dance. I did. Welcome to the Jungle

Cake Nation! How are you? Staying warm I hope. This cake is another order for Icing Smiles, Inc. Remember, we made the iCarly Cake a while back for them? Well, this cake is for a little boy turning 1. His name is Milosh. When Milosh was in NICU as a baby, he was dubbed the Lion Prince. So, we took that theme and ran with it. Happy Birthday, Milosh!

Cake Nation! How are you? I hope the new year is off to a fabulous start. Here at CH&L we're loving the orders you all are sending us. This cake was tons of fun to make. Not to mention, your newest favorite Cake Lady, Connie, was getting some fondant time in. This cake was a vanilla cake with a cookies and cream filling. Donkey Kong himself was hand crafted by yours truly. Enjoy!

Pink Birthday Cake

So, this was a great weekend for cakes. I had two Cake Nation peeps call and ask me to make cakes and they just wanted them pretty. Sigh. I've been elbow deep in fondant flowers and luster dust. Not a bad way to spend a Friday morning. So, here's my Pretty in Pink birthday cake.

Everyone all together now .... Awwwww! So cute. I love flowers. And butterflies. And pink. I just love this cake. So, this is an 8" rich chocolate cake filled with CH&L Vanilla buttercream. Tastes as good as it looks, I tell ya.

20th Birthday Cake

Cake Nation, I love when one of you call and say something like - just make it pretty. My heart soars in to fondant heaven. Really, it does. So, here's one of those cakes.

This is a 10" moist Srawberry cake filled with creamy buttercream and fresh sliced strawberries. Delicious.

Winter themed wedding

I was thrilled when I got this order. The client told me she just wanted shades of blue with snowflakes for a winter themed wedding. I was chomping at the bit to be able to sit down and pipe snowflakes. There's something whimsical and magical about this theme. I really love how the entire set up looked. I look forward to more winter themed wedding orders. 

Cake Nation - you guys are great. I mean, seriously, you've been telling everyone about us. We've been getting cupcakes orders every day. Matter of fact, I have chocolate cupcakes in the oven right now that are going to be turned in to Peppermint Hot Chocolates. Say it all together now ..... Mmmmmmm.

Since the Thanksgiving boxes went over awesome, I thought I would offer up a Christmas pack WITH a bonus. The Christmas pack is 9 of our classy cupcake. Finishing on a sweet note

This cake is out of the norm for us. It is fondant-less. Man, did I ever forget how difficult smoothing buttercream can be. I think this cake had a great look when all was said and done. I hope you have a happy retirement from the Air Force, Scott Huddle. Thank you for your service.

Sweetening Up the Holidays!

Happy December Cake Nation! Here at CH&L we are doing our best to bake a difference one cupcake at a time. One of the ways we're doing that this Christmas is by visiting our local Ronald McDonald House. We're going to be going down the week of Christmas to deliver stacks of sweets to these amazing families. I got to thinking, you know what's better than cupcakes? Cupcakes and YOUR  treats. So, you know that one sweet that your family and friends always ask you to make? Yeah, that one. Make an extra platter of them and I will send a pick up person to your place and get them. Then, I'll make a HUGE delivery to the Ronald McDonald House. So, fire up those ovens, Cakers! We're going to be making some major sweets for a GREAT cause.

Help making Hope a little sweeter

Ever wandered if you could really take a few hours and make a real difference? Thought that you'd like to, but don't really know where to do that? Well, Cakers, meet The Hope Foundation. They are feeding families all around our counties here at home. You can take those few hours you've been wanting something to do with and spend them on a Saturday morning making a HUGE difference to someone here in your own community. Recently, Hope Foundation asked me to make a cupcake or two to offer around town. Here's one of the orders we created.

Teacher Appreciation Day

I was honored enough to be asked to create an order for some of the local teachers at an elementary school around here. Growing up, I only wanted to be two things - a teacher and a lawyer. I know I know. Polar opposites. So, naturally when Steve Bowen asked me create a cupcake for this event, I was more than thrilled with the order. Here's what we came up with!

The next time you see a teacher, thank them. Every day should be Teacher Appreciation Day.
